Alright, alright, alright
The past couple of days...well..how should I review them. Half I've spent out sightseeing with Ted, half I've spent inside, watching Friends on DVD =D. Both equally fun for me, altho writing about the latter half seems..silly, frankly.
Nov 22nd, Ted and I went to Hollywood and walked up and down the whole Walk of Fame stretch. Something I've done once back in -99. After doing it for 2 min, you're bored if you're not there for your first time. This was Ted's first time, so it was alright for him, I just followed along. Luckily for my mental health, we stopped along the way and walked into lots of different souvenir-shops that line Hollywood Boulevard. At the end of the day, we'd gone all the way up and down, didn't find a certain star we were looking for, but had enjoyed the day very much anyway. I took a couple of boring just-a-star-pictures, but felt that this was the only one special enough to post.

2 days of various DVD-watching, cookie-eating and relax-ing (heh) passed, then on Nov 25th, Ida drove me to downtown LA, the place to buy cheap stuff. I needed a suitcase to fit all the stuff I've bought here during my travels. While walking around in the marketarea, I noticed an increase of mexicans around us. At one point, Ida and I were the only caucasian in a group of about 100ppl. Interesting. What was even more interesting was the fact that the mannequins were _quite_ different from what I'm used to seeing in stores back home, and places like Rodeo Dr, in Beverly Hills. The asses on those "dolls" were huuuge! I'm serious, they were so big, it looked weird. I guess they're used to serving latinos in the area, a part of mankind with notoriously large behinds. Just had to get a picture of the phenomenon. Hilarious.

Nov 27th I managed to get a picture of me and all 3 cats in at the same time!
What, you wanted me to write about what I'm doing...
Sure was difficult to get Mocca, the shy one, to stay still. It's (obviously ;o) ) the cat looking away from the camera.

Nov 28th, I decided to go back to Malibu, this time with somebody else. Ted definitely wanted to come with me and walk along the shore of countless celebs' (and people "in the biz") houses. It was another warm sunny day, albeit not as pleasant as the day I actually took a swim a week earlier. Mostly, we just waded thru the supposedly unsanitary water, while looking at beautiful expensive houses.
Ted enjoyed looking at incredible architectural feats the likes of which you probably wont find back home in boring traditional sweden where having a square house covered in red paint is considered "nice".
Thats why, the next day, we took the bus to the only area in the world more famous for it's zipcode than it's actual name, even tho the name is quite famous itself. I'm talking about 90210, Beverly Hills (duuh snäckan, 'course I know :-P). We got a couple of pictures there as well (my, I just can't upload another picture, too much work), nothing special. I mean, they were still just houses. Just annoying that I didn't get a picture of a streetsign, since (for some reason), they've added the acronym of the city we were walking around in. It'd be soo nice to live in a place where all the signs bear the name of my favourite part of women's attire.
On wednesday Nov 30th, I experienced the first notion of the fact that my departuredate for sweden is actually creeping closer. It was time to end part of my wednesday-tradition. It was my final visit to Hooters. Sure, it's a nice place to eat, but it's just simply waay too expensive, so I had to decide to not go there anymore. I went to the comicbookstore as usual, then went over to Hooters to enjoy a christmas issue from Marvel. Before I left, I made sure I got a picture, to remember my visits by =).

The title of this post comes from the persistant requests of my siblings to keep writing. Very nice of them, altho I'm getting bored of writing. Haven't really taken any pictures of late, just longing to go home. Felt even more homesick today, when I listened to O, Helga Natt, which I got hold of bcuz my roommate demanded to hear some swedish christmas music. When carola started singing (there's a short intro of inaudible hums, weird) I just closed my eyes, leaned back and instantly found myself in our green couch back home in HBG in the livingroom, drinking warm glögg and ate almonds, basking in the heat from the fireplace that warms the house from the cold snow outside which makes the dark night glimmering white. (phew, long sentence). *sigh*, bottomline, it's just wrong to be somewhere warm in December. Can't wait to go hoome.

haha, w00t! Hon var min waitress den kvällen =). Hon var ny, så för att inte göra några misstag, så var hon extra långsam, och höll sig kvar vid bordet länge, för att be om tips osv..jag är ju faktiskt lite av en regular där ;o). Myycket trevligt =D
Awesome, finally a new post! =)
You've been slacking ... but then, writing about watching friends all day isn't that exciting I suppose ^^; (japanese version of a smiley showing a small bit of embarrassment)
LOL @ the bottoms of those mannequins ;)
The cats looks really cute =) Are you maybe considering getting cats on your own when you come back? Or is actually having a pet yourself not something you want? You've always been against it before as I recall, but as far as I know, you haven't had much experience with pets, so maybe it's just that you were ignorant?
heh
yeah, as I said, not much to write about.
teehee, hilarious. Especially Ida's reaction =). You had to be there ;o)
nono, not ignorant at all, I really don't want to have furry pets. Maybe I could consider a snake, or smth equally cool..but cats? erhihkle. I've been here for 2 months, and I can barely stand them. Soo annoying. Sure, they can be cute, but so are kids from time to time...they still become evil annoying little things at some point...but with kids, you'll actually have a real person...cats will still only be cats, so a big no on that =).
In the immortal words of Sir Mix-A-Lot:
I like big butts and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face
You get sprung
Wanna pull up tough
Cuz you notice that butt was stuffed
Deep in the jeans she's wearing
I'm hooked and I can't stop staring
Oh, baby I wanna get with ya
And take your picture
My homeboys tried to warn me
But that butt you got
Make Me so horney
Ooh, rump of smooth skin
You say you wanna get in my benz
Well use me use me cuz you aint that average groupy
...and so on. You really want to go home now? It's real xmas weather outside: +5C, some wind, rain... Stay in Santa Monica! :-)
