Surf's up?
Well, the comment left by my sister on my SF-post (the _only_ comment even! hmpff) inspired me to hop onto bus 434 from Santa Monica pier, and go up to the city with the most beautiful (and "famous") beach in the whole LA region; Malibu. I heard that it's slightly snowing, halfmelting away back home in sweden...today we had 30°C (87f for those using stupid systems..like they do here in this silly country), no noticable wind and nearly a clear sky, almost no clouds at all. It was perfect.
Malibu is real beautiful, if you get off the PCH (the highway from the frisco trip, remember?) and actually find your way down to the beach. See, malibu mainly consists of expensive beachproperties, built so close to each other, that you can reach the beach without trespassing on private property. Luckily for those of us without $ 17 million to spend on a beachhouse, small "hidden" accessways have been constructed here and there. They're difficult to find, but when you do, it's completely legal for you to walk along the shore, even if many houseowners put up signs saying that the beach is somehow private, all the way down to the water.
After walking for a couple of km along the lovely beach, gazing into celebrities' and "people-in-the-business"'s beach-houses, I decided to jump into the water. I realised that I can't travel all the way to California, and not swim in the pacific. The water was cold, just like I remembered it from my last trip, back in -99, but man, those waves. I understand why so many people get surflessons in this area. It was, once again, perfect.
In the end, I had a great day, here in Malibu, California. What did you do today :-p ?

Åhhhhhh, fy vad fuskigt!!!! Här hemma har det varit 1 plusgrad =( och slaskigt. Igår snöade det.... Nu måste man pälsa på sig med mössa, halsduk och vantar...suck... Vad fint det ser ut att vara där i Malibu.. Jättefint kort du har tagit. Man har ju sett lite av Malibu i 90210... =) om du vet vad jag pratar om... gamla hederliga serien Beverly Hills....

Weeell, last night I came home from a shitboring job around midnight, watched some Scrubs (w00tw00t) and went to bed, woke up and went to my shitty job where I am right now until midnight. Living in the arsehole of England I'm really enjoying my life at the fullest, like when you want to spice it up a bit, you go to the local pub where all the other afterwork-alcoholics always sit... oh, what a glamourous life I live =p
Men, som söstra våran nämnde i sitt förra inlägg, så räknar jag bara dagarna tills jag på lördagmorgon åker ner till london för att hälsa på en fransk polare och sedan på måndag morgon sätta mig på flyget mot Thailand för 2½ veckas bira, bärs å rakade brudar... eeh, jag menar sol, bad och kulturellt turistande ;)
Håller med sis' oxå, GRYMT kort du tog, klockrent med skorna, där smög du fram för att inte lämna några fortspår i sanden =)
anyway, bra att du börjar skriva lite oftare nu än vad du gjorde i oktober. Alltid kul att läsa !!

haha, underbara kommentarer, keep 'em coming =). Ska sköta mig att skriva mer. Förstås, inte så långt kvar nu, men ändå, har några saker kvar att göra. Bland annat, så träffade ja på nån typ på stranden (utanför Arnies sommarhus, enligt typen..coo) som gav mig några tips på vart jag kunde cykla. Jag förklarade att jag inte var amerikan, och efter det så förstod han att för mig så är cykeln först och främst ett transportmedel =). Mycket trevligt. Får ta o köra på hans tips lite de kommande veckorna.
Jo, mycket nöjd med bilden. Sån som pappa alltid ska anstränga sig för att ta (en viss bild uppe i bergen med mamma i förgrunden, och en nu smal ström av kaffe sakta rinnandes från termosen comes to mind ;o) ), men som blev till för mig utan problem =).

You know, I was thinking .. you mentioned in the post that you understood why ppl get surflessons... Why not try some yourself? If you've got enough money left, I'm sure you wouldn't regret it =)
... What did I do today? I killed several orcs, some hill giants and a few harpys! So there!
