Things...taken care of?

Yes! I've accomplished something!

ok, so I posed for a photo...but at least I worked some on the design of this site ;o). Now added the picture up there *points* (you do realise you're not actually supposed to look straight up, right?). Also added the RSS feed button down in the righthand corner. Actually feel sorta complete with the page now, satisfied. Just one thing missing...think I need a counter (yes, even tho I'm leaving in like 2 weeks) for the departure date. Too many ppl have asked when it is I'm leaving, just want to refer them to this site and be done with it =).

Alright, enough about that, whats happened since last time regarding my trip. Well, I've taken care of all the paperwork, I'm about to go on my first trip in a year, gonna go up to our dirty capital (seriously, don't go there, visit Helsingborg instead if you're ever in sweden) and apply for a touristvisa. Of course, to save money, I'm staying the whole weekend (yes, that does make sense...in a way). That was main thing I had left to worry about, the visa. So hopefully that will work out just fine. The second thing was finding a place to live, and whaddayaknow, 10min before I have to leave for work, somebody answers an application I sent out for a place, and now I have a place to live! If everything does work out as it should in 08land (slang for previously mentioned capital), all the things I had to take care of before I leave are all...taken care of. Wiieee

Dreaming about warmer climates

This time, a year ago, I was relaxing in a nice pool, in warm france. Right now, my parents are on their way down there. Where am I ? Sitting in ridiculously cold (for august) Sweden, working on a site about travelling. Sometimes you might think that life is unfair. Even I do that. But in this case that is hardly the case, since I can just reassure myself with the fact that I'm going LosAngeles in less than 4 weeks.

Ok, so maybe it's not that clearcut...I mean I haven't fixed a place to live yet...and I'm not sure I'll be able to afford any souvenires...oh and there's also that pesky little thing about the visa..I need one, I don't have one at the moment, but I'm hoping the us embassy in stockholm will give me one when I apply for it in about 2 weeks. It's not that big of an obstacle....or..well..sure, without it I can't go at all, and I've wasted lots of money on a nonrefundable planeticket...but I'm sure it'll work out...I hope ;o).

Man....that pool is nice...I sure wish..
Bah, dreaming away again. Need to focus on the now, still got 3 more weeks left at my job, gotta pull thru and save up as much cash as possible, need to be able to send away a postcard or two as well =). Right now tho, I need to fix something to eat. Parents away, means more work for me...pff, I'm way too lazy sometimes...

Right, first post so far. Took a while to decide on the title, at first I kept thinking los angeles, LA and so on, but since I'm planning on going to more places, it wouldn't exactly fit. When I finally did settle on "...Travels", I weren't sure how to make it personal, so I figured I'd just cop out and go with my name. Simple, I know...cheesy? a bit maybe. Fun? To my dear mother at least ;).
